Zio Robot, a company specialising in robotic solutions, showcased its ‘Mobile Worker’ robot at the Future Innovation Tech eXpo 2024 (FIX 2024) in Daegu, South Korea. Designed as a modular and collaborative robot, it shows Zio Robot’s dedication to enhancing productivity through human-robot synergy in industrial environments. Zio Robot’s presence at FIX 2024 highlights its ambition to drive advancements in robotics technology and expand its influence across both domestic and international markets.Design for flexibility and collaboration
The ‘Mobile Worker’ stands out with its combination of autonomous navigation and stable cargo transport, making it a versatile solution for a range of industrial applications. Equipped with a modular design, this robot can transport objects of varied sizes and weights, supporting load capacities from 50 kg to an impressive 3 tonnes, the company said.
It offers unmatched adaptability, able to operate individually or as part of a cluster in an arrangement similar to assembling with Lego blocks. This design enables collaboration not only between humans and robots but also among multiple robots, catering to diverse industrial requirements, the company added.
Vision for dynamic industrial environments
Zio Robot envisions a transformation in industrial settings, moving from fixed conveyor belt systems towards adaptable, dynamic setups. By complementing human workers, Zio Robot’s technology aims to maximise productivity, allowing both humans and robots to concentrate on their unique strengths within a collaborative framework.
“The future of industrial environments will transition away from rigid conveyor systems to more flexible, evolving solutions,” a representative said. “Our robots are tailored to enhance human productivity by focusing on specialised functions that improve overall efficiency,” he added.
FIX 2024 attracted leading-edge technologies from robotics, AI, mobility, and startups, featuring exhibitions, conferences, and business forums that underscored the latest advancements in these sectors.
